Advertising Terms

Student Design welcomes advertising both on its website and its newsletter e -mails. We encourage advertisements for a wide range of services and products and we are always looking to expand the material we provide to our customers. However, Student Design may take the decision that companies and organisations offering the following products and services, do not meet the ethos of Student Design and therefore will not be accepted or displayed on either the website or the newsletter e-mails:


1 .Services selling, promoting, or encouraging the sale or use of tobacco products, with the exception of those ads that discourage their use. Services promoting alcohol in the ways listed above will be accepted on certain conditions and may be subject to extra regulation by Student Design

2 Any advertisements proposing the use of illegal or non-prescription drugs.

3 Any advertisements that sell or promote loans, mortgages, credit cards or any other type of credit service.

4 Any Advertisements promoting gambling.

5 Any advertisements that sell or promote insurance products with the exception of holiday, motor and personal possessions insurance.

6 Any advertisements promoting or selling sexual services, including escort agencies and any dating agencies that specifically encourage casual sexual activity.

7 Any advertisements promoting or selling sexual products in a way that is offensive or likely to be perceived as offensive by the site’s audience. Advertisements from mainstream “adult product” companies are acceptable, however, no specific products will be displayed (with the exception of lingerie products) and all advertisements must be of a generic nature. Student Design reserves the right to decide what is acceptable.

All advertisements will be displayed on the terms agreed with Student Design. Any request to change the format of the advertising package must be agreed by Student Design.

In the event that the content of the advertisement being displayed is changed by the advertising company, and is no longer in compliance with the agreed policy, Student Design reserves the right to cease advertising the said product and the fee will not be refundable.

Student Design reserves the right to refuse any advertisement, or advertisement contract at any time and for any reason. Student Design are not required to state the reason for that refusal.

Student Design reserves the right to change any part of this policy document at any time without notice.
